Stupid Anagrams
I love anagrams, but I don't love W. So I tried to update this gem I ran across in a friend's algorithms book:

For example, ``MANY VOTED BUSH RETIRED'' is an anagram of ``TUESDAY NOVEMBER THIRD,'' which correctly predicted the outcome of the 1992 U.S. presidential election.

Without thinking to look it up, I just assumed the general election would fall on the same day of the month (btw, it doesn't. But my OCD wouldn't let that stop me, no siree). In 2004, the third of November falls on a Wednesday (again, I know that general election day is on Tuesday, the second of November so don't point that out to me). I didn't write any code for this; I just did it manually.

Anagrams for WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER THIRD

  • Ornery WMD? Behindead vets.
  • Hi W. Serve one term. (n.b. Daddy)
  • Did rehab,W. My Enron vested.

Ugh, it's late. I'll think about anagrams for TUESDAY, NOVEMBER SECOND some other night.
